I have the pre-made ESXI VMprotect8 virtual machine running. I ran it on a trial and then inserted the keys when I purchased it. I have rebooted it a couple times during the trial and after without issue. The software runs fine in all regards.
I return from the holidays and I realize one of my 2 NFS stores (drives) that it uses as back destinations will not unmount or display in the web interface. So I try and reboot the VM. The VM will not shut down so I have to power it off.
I go to restart the VM and this is what I get
An error was received from the ESX host while powering on VM Acronis Backup.

Insufficient permission to access file
Any ideas how I can recover this?
Hello Steve,
Vmware Insufficient Permission To Access File Management
Thank you for posting.
It is not clear at the moment what causes this issue. As a temporary workaround I would recommend editing the appliance settings and removing your local attached storage: /vmfs/volumes/0a56f9ab-87b0e662/Acronis Backup/Acronis Backup.vmdk
There is a similar post on VMware forums, you can take a look at it here. Most likely you will need to contact VMware support to address the NFS datastore issue.
